Our client is currently recruiting to fill the role below:

 

Job Title: Fuel Officer

 

Department: Facility & Maintenance

 

Purpose Of Job

 

The Officer shall be responsible for managing all aspects of fueling of the company fleet and ensuring availability of fuel for operations across all Contracts.

He/She will oversee all fueling handling procedures, manage the inventory and ordering of supplies, and ensure the completion of routine maintenance and cleaning of all fuel- related equipment.

He/She shall be for maintaining a safe, clean, and customer-focused fueling arrangement and fuel environment at all times.

 

 

Job Description

Fuel Management

Ensure a smooth fueling for both operations and administrative users.

Respond to all complaints or enquiries arising from the review of the fueling operations by Internal Audit and Control. Design and implement approved fueling arrangement cycle to meet needs and expectation of all users.

Ensure the 24/7 execution of fuel operations at designated locations including product handling, supplies ordering, and pricing compliance. Manage the recruitment, training, coaching, and performance of all fuel service officers. Ensure execution of established safety, security, quality, and fuel operations policies, procedures and practices. Ensure proper execution of all contracts of purchase and supply of products. Analyze fuel metrics and trends and prepare action plans to leverage the

Company’s fueling arrangement strengths, and address areas of opportunity. Coordinate daily fuel operations assignments and activities of officers.

Ensure fuel pricing procedures are executed and adhered to. Monitor consumption and report on reconciliation of fuel collection to ensure accuracy of fuel deductions on freight invoice.

Maintain a 100% availability of fuel across all designated locations.

 

Job Requiremnt

A good University degree in Accounting

A minimum of 2 years post graduate experience preferably in Transport /Logistics or in downstream sector.

Professional membership or registration

Relevant Professional Qualifications will be an added advantage.

 

 

Job Knowledge

The incumbent must have proficient knowledge in the following areas:

Good knowledge of travelling logistics

Should have flair for technical issues and discussion.

An understanding of relevant legislation, procedures and policies.

Good negotiating skills
